Emily makes tea

Last term Emily was an excellent student in my Level 1 Class, but she was forced to drop out of school because her farmer parents lacked the funds to pay her school fees, some 1,300 RMB ($162) a term.

Emily now works at a tea house seven-days-a-week, eleven hours a day for 350 RMB ($44) a week.

Emily invited her former classmates and me to the tea house.
